2 alleged big-time drug traffickers yield over P1M shabu in Quezon buy-bust

LUCENA CITY – More than P1,000,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) was seized on Saturday morning, August 27, from two suspected big-time illegal drug traffickers in Candelaria town in Quezon province.

Police Colonel Joel Villanueva, Quezon police chief, in a report identified the arrested suspects as Salahodin Solaiman Abdul, 26, and Nasser Ulama Gunda, 36, both residents of Malate, Manila.

The suspects were collared after they allegedly sold P50,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Barangay (village) Bukal Sur at 7:50 a.m.

Authorities seized a total of 50 grams of shabu with a street value of P1,020,000 at the prevailing price of P20,400 per gram among drug users.

The police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs seized from the suspects.

Both suspects are under police custody and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
