MANILA, Philippines — Aspiring students of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) will have to pass the UST Entrance Test (USTET) for Academic Year 2023-2024.
This was announced by The Varsitarian, UST’s official student publication in a Facebook post on Friday.
UST suspended the administration of the USTET amid the restrictions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Instead of the USTET, UST made use of the UST Admission Rating — a score-based evaluation method that examines the student’s academic records — as the basis for admission.
The Ateneo De Manila University also earlier announced the return of the Ateneo College Entrance Test as basis for admission in the next academic year. — Christian Paul Dela Cruz, INQUIRER.net trainee
