DPWH: Several roads in Metro Manila are up for repair this weekend
MANILA, Philippines — Several roads in Metro Manila will be repaired this weekend, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced Friday.
Specifically, works will be made on 14 road sections located in the cities of Quezon, Makati, and Pasig, the agency’s National Capital Region office said.
It also said these road sections will be closed from 11:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, until to 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30.
The affected roads sections are the following:
EDSA Northbound Lane

- After P. Tuazon flyover to Aurora Boulevard Tunnel, 3rd lane from center island (fast lane)
- After Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from center island (intermittent section
- After Kamuning Road and Kamias Road to Jac Liner Bus Station, beside center island
EDSA Southbound Lane

- Kamuning Road Intersection, 3rd block service road
- In front of Kamuning Police Station 10, 2nd block service road
- From Balingasa creek to Oliveros footbridge
C-5 Road
- Service road in front of Global Oil Gas Station in Pasig City
- Road portion corner C.P. Garcia Avenue after intersection, 2nd block from center island, Quezon City
- Southbound second lane in Makati City
Other roads
- Fairview Avenue Southbound from Fleur de Lis Street to Labayane Street, 1st lane from center island
- Cloverleaf northbound, from EDSA to NLEx segment
- Roosevelt Avenue near corner EDSA, outer lane
Motorists are urged to plan their trips ahead and take alternate routes.
“Motorists are advised that roadworks of the Department of Public Works and Highways will cause significant delays for long weekend travelers particularly in the cities of Quezon, Makati, and Pasig,” the DPWH said in a statement also posted on their social media pages.
“Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes while repairs are underway. All affected roads will reopen on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 5 a.m.,” it added.
