‘Florita’ now over Alcala, Cagayan; Signal No. 3 remains in 5 areas

MANILA, Philippines — Severe Tropical Storm Florita is now over Alcala, Cagayan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Tuesday afternoon.

Based on Pagasa’s 2 p.m. bulletin, Florita has maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph.

The tropical cyclone is moving west northwestward at 20 kph.
