MANILA, Philippines — Severe Tropical Storm Florita is now over Alcala, Cagayan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Tuesday afternoon.
Based on Pagasa’s 2 p.m. bulletin, Florita has maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph.
The tropical cyclone is moving west northwestward at 20 kph.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 remains in five areas:
- northern portion of Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud, Dumalneg, Adams, Bangui, Burgos, Pasuquin, Vintar, Carasi, Bacarra, Piddig)
- Apayao
- southern portion of Babuyan Islands (Camiguin Island, Fuga Island, Dalupiri Island)
- mainland Cagayan
- northeastern portion of Isabela (Palanan, Divilacan, Maconacon, San Pablo, Tumauini, Cabagan, Santa Maria, Santo Tomas, Delfin Albano, Ilagan City, San Maraino)
Meanwhile, the following areas are under Signal Nos. 1 and 2:
