1 drug den dismantled, 11 suspects nabbed in separate busts in Subic

SUBIC, Zambales — Authorities on Monday (Aug. 22) dismantled a makeshift drug den and arrested three suspects during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cawag here.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency identified the suspects as Arlene Bengero, 33, the alleged drug den operator; Cirilo Luato, 34; and Marife Mihani, 33.

Confiscated from them were six plastic sachets containing about 13 grams of alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P89,700, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the marked money used in the operation.

Earlier on Aug. 19 and 20, authorities also arrested eight drug suspects during two separate anti-drug operations in this town.

Among them were two minors, ages 14 and 16, who were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Calapacuan on Aug. 19. Seized from them were two plastic sachets of alleged shabu worth P360,000.

Suspects Bryner Tiamsing, 22; Abdul Silani, 24; Rolito Jervoso, 18; Benjay Hassan, 18; Keanu John Mangubat, 25; and Renato Jervoso, 33, were arrested in an operation in Barangan Mangan Vaca on Aug. 20.

The six suspects yielded 9.73 grams of alleged shabu worth P63,245, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the marked money. INQ
