Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles recovers from COVID-19

The Office of the Press Secretary is seeking more funding for the state-run media to give their workers a just and “humane” salary.

MANILA, Philippines — Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles has recovered from COVID-19, she disclosed Monday.

Cruz-Angeles said she has tested negative from the disease based on her latest RT-PCR test.

“Yes. Negative on RT-PCR na po,” Cruz-Angeles said in a Viber message when asked if she has recovered from COVID-19.

Cruz-Angeles, the press secretary of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., announced she tested positive for COVID-19 on August 15. 

Since testing positive for COVID-19, Cruz-Angeles has placed herself under isolation and attended a Senate hearing via videoconferencing.

She also led press briefings in Malacanang through video conferencing.
