13 nabbed, over P260 K shabu seized in Angeles City drug den raids

This city has registered its highest single-day COVID-19 infection this year as it continues to experience a virus growth, local data showed.

ANGELES CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Region III (PDEA-3) confiscated an estimated P269,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from 13 persons arrested during a series of raids in Barangay Pampang in this city on Friday.

At around 4 p.m., five persons inside a makeshift drug den were arrested, PDEA-3 information officer Glenn Guillermo told the Inquirer in an interview Saturday.

Guillermo identified the arrested persons as Raymond Ombal, 28; Jake Abe, 26; Robert Cabrera, 20; Germe Billotes, 32; and Kim Santos, 21. Confiscated from the suspects were 12 grams of shabu.

The operatives proceeded to another makeshift drug den in the same village and arrested four individuals identified as Myla Parangat, 38; Jomar Parangat, 19; Dominick Bulda, 27; and Ferdinand Evaristo, 40.

Confiscated from them were 15 grams of shabu.

The third raid on another makeshift drug den in the village resulted in the seizure of 12 grams of shabu and assorted drug-using paraphernalia from suspects Aurilio Pangilinan, 48; Roberto Garcia, 32; Marvin Crispolo, 36; and Orlando Poquiz, 34.

The suspects were detained at the PDEA-3 jail facility in the City of San Fernando pending the filing of a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
