11 drug suspects nabbed in separate operations in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested 11 suspected drug personalities in separate operations in the Bicol region on Thursday, Aug 18.
In Camarines Sur, Francis Apostol, 31, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pacol in Naga City at around 5:10 p.m.
Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said authorities recovered from the suspect five sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P2,386.
At around 5:20 p.m., Dennis Beltran, 42, was arrested after allegedly selling two sachets of shabu worth P3,000 in the same village.
During the body search, authorities recovered six more sachets of shabu.

Article continues after this advertisementIn Barangay Peñafrancia, Lorenzo Boribor, 47, was arrested at around 11:57 p.m. after he yielded a gram of shabu worth P6,800.
In Nabua town, Melchor Segovia, 37, was arrested after selling two sachets of shabu worth P2,040 to an undercover agent in Barangay Santa Elena Baras at around 8:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, In Iriga City, Jury Llorente was arrested in a search operation in Barangay San Nicolas at around 9:10 a.m.
Allegedly recovered from him were 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000 and drug paraphernalia.
In the province of Albay, Edwin Naz, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Inamnan Pequeño in Guinobatan town at 9:10 p.m.
Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson for the Bicol police, said three sachets of shabu were allegedly confiscated from Naz, who was on the illegal drugs watch list.
In Camalig town, Frankie Navera, 38, was arrested in Barangay Tagaytay at around 8:30 p.m. Seven sachets of shabu worth P612 were recovered from Navera.
In Ligao City, Ian Hinay, 41, and Jeff Allen Navo, 26, were arrested in Barangay Dunao at 7:45 p.m. Authorities recovered five sachets of shabu worth P6,800.
In Mercedes town in Camarines Norte, Noel Villarete, 54, was arrested in Barangay 7 at around 4:15 p.m.
Calubaquib said the anti-narcotics agents confiscated 1.63 grams with an estimated street value of P2,000.
In Barangay Luklukan Sur in Jose Panganiban town, Jonathan Ferrer, 42, was arrested at around 4 p.m.
Two sachets of shabu worth P4,500 were recovered from Ferrer.
The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
