More than P20M worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — More than P20 million of suspected shabu (crystal meth) have been seized from two suspects during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City, the Philippine National Police said on Tuesday.

Suspects identified as Jerome Labita, 20, and John Lester Manipol, 24, were arrested in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City on Monday.

Three kilos of shabu with a total standard drug price of P20,400,000 were seized from Labita and Manipol.

The suspects will face charges in violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
