MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Three drug suspects were arrested and some P103,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) were confiscated in a buy-bust operation at Dau village here on Friday, August 12, a report said Saturday, August 13.
In a statement, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the arrested suspects as Christian Pecson, 26; Josephine Ongcoco, 22; and Harly Nolasco, 27.
The PDEA Central Luzon said an undercover agent was able to buy a sachet of shabu in a suspected drug den allegedly maintained by Pecson around 3:45 p.m.
PDEA and police operatives arrested Pecson and the two other persons inside the alleged drug den and confiscated some 15 grams of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia. The marked money used in the sting operation was also recovered.
The arrested persons are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs act of 2002.
On August 10, city and regional police also arrested two persons who allegedly yielded some P408,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation at Dapdap village here.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Protom Guevarra, acting chief of police here, identified the arrested suspects as Kevin Jay Fernandez and Jamaica Dizon, both 28 years old, who are residents of this city and “listed drug personalities.”
They were arrested in a separate operation around 6:25 p.m. which also yielded 60 grams of suspected shabu.
The marked P1,000 bill and 11 pieces of play money used in the sting operation were also recovered from the suspects.
