6 nabbed, P136,000 meth seized in Tarlac ‘drug den’

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents and policemen arrested on Thursday six people and confiscated some P136,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) inside an alleged drug den in Camiling town, Tarlac province.

PDEA Central Luzon public information officer Glenn Guillermo said in a statement that Tarlac operatives and the local police conducted the nighttime buy-bust operation at Poblacion village.

Arrested during the operation were Ian Tiamzon, 32; Dextie Dizon, 43; Jeffrey Pascual, 36; Arnel Elenzano, 35; Ricarte Prudencio, 30; and Kacy Chris Grospe, 31.

Authorities said they confiscated from the suspects seven sachets containing 20 grams of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.

The police also recovered the marked peso bill used in the sting operation.

The suspects face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
