More DOTr officials sworn into office

MRT-3 and railways officials have been sworn into office, according to the DOTr

MANILA, Philippines — More officials of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and its attached agencies, appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., were sworn into office on Wednesday.

A DOTr statement indicated that Jorjette Aquino took her oath as the new Assistant Secretary for Railways in a ceremony presided over by DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista.

Former Light Rail Transit Authority official Federico Canar Jr. was also sworn in as the new Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) General Manager, while Oscar Bongon also took his oath as the new MRT-3 Director of Operations.

It can be recalled that Marcos Jr. appointed Bongon as officer-in-charge of MRT-3 in July.
