4-year-old American girl among new COVID-19 patients in Olongapo

At least 12 new COVID-19 cases, including a 4-year-old American girl, were recorded in Olongapo City on August 4.

OLONGAPO CITY—A 4-year-old American girl in this city has tested positive for COVID-19, along with 11 other residents, City Health Office data showed on Thursday, August 4.

The girl from Barangay Gordon Heights did not display COVID-19 symptoms, said the local task force. She is also the youngest of the new cases.

Data also showed that most of the other 11 newly infected patients were vaccinated against the viral disease and showed symptoms.

The city’s number of active infections remained at 68 after recording 12 recoveries on the same day.

A total of 7,194 COVID-19 cases have been registered here since 2020, with at least 6,772 cleared of the disease and 354 died.

The task force said 19 suspected COVID-19 cases were being monitored on Thursday. INQ
