5-month-old girl infected with COVID-19 in Olongapo City
OLONGAPO CITY — At least 11 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in this city on Tuesday (Aug. 2), local data showed.
Among the newly infected patients is a 5-month-old girl from Barangay Barretto. She displayed COVID-19 symptoms, such as coughing.
Also infected is an 8-year-old boy from Barangay New Cabalan. He was also symptomatic.
The oldest among the new patients is a 75-year-old man from Barangay Gordon Heights.
According to the local task force, the new cases and 11 recoveries on Tuesday brought the city’s active infections to 58.
Article continues after this advertisementA total of 7,162 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city since the pandemic broke out in 2020. Of this figure, at least 6,750 have recovered from the disease, while 354 died.
