TAIPEI — Taiwan’s defense ministry said Wednesday that China’s military exercises in response to the visit of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi breach the island’s territorial waters.

“Some of the areas of China’s drills breach into… (Taiwan’s) territorial waters,” defense ministry spokesman Sun Li-fang said at a press conference. “This is an irrational move to challenge the international order.”
