OLONGAPO CITY—Healthcare utilization rate (HCUR) in this city dropped within a week despite a growing number of new COVID-19 infections, according to analytics group OCTA Research.
In its latest data released on July 26, OCTA said the city’s HCUR was 27 percent as of July 24. This was lower than the 66-percent HCUR that the city posted on July 17, which was among the highest in the country at that time.
But the city’s intensive care unit occupancy rate remained at zero in the last two weeks.
As of Monday afternoon, the city’s active COVID-19 cases rose to 43 after adding four new infections and two recoveries, Olongapo’s highest in the last five months.
At least 31 more suspected COVID-19 cases were being monitored in the city, according to the local task force. INQ
