Bacoor police anti-drug operations net 20 alleged pushers
LUCENA CITY — The Bacoor City police arrested 20 suspects and confiscated more than P149,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations early Wednesday.
Authorities said Thong Ebrahem Akmad, Rosalind Barot, Julier Lacerna, Rico Porras, Bernardo Bayrante, and Nathaniel Cabalida were nabbed in Barangay (village) Molino 3 around 4:30 a.m.
Seven sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P102,000 were seized from the suspects, police added.
Bacoor City police operatives also collared Angelito Cordova, Lerio Caasi, Jomar Leonida, Ronal Dungao, Sharon Perez, Corazon Cornelio, and Domingo Molo in a drug sting conducted in another part of the same village at around 3:30 a.m. Seized from the suspects were eight sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P34,000.
The lawmen also arrested Melinda Esguerra, Darwin Ledesma, Jonnipher Pedrera, Dennis Magnaye, Alberto Papa, Jayson Arenes, and Arnel Mendez around 1:45 a.m. in the same village. They were found carrying 10 sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P13,600.

Article continues after this advertisementPolice Colonel Cecilio Ison, Laguna police chief, reported Wednesday that anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Segunda Capusi and Mark Joseph Decena, 19, in Barangay 1 around 2:45 p.m. The police said five sachets of shabu with a street value of P47,600 were confiscated from the suspects.
All suspects were detained and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
