19 drug suspects nabbed in Cavite; P306K shabu seized
LUCENA CITY – Nineteen drug suspects were arrested and P306,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) were seized in buy-bust operations in Cavite province on Friday and Saturday (July 8 and 9).
The Police Regional Office 4-A reported that members of the local drug enforcement unit in Bacoor City nabbed Ronald Villanueva, Edwin Velasco, and Rafael Diaz in a drug sting in Barangay (village) Aniban 1 at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The trio yielded six plastic sachets of shabu with a street value of P68,000.
Earlier, anti-illegal drug operatives also busted Nova Aldana, Merzianne Cepeda, Marlyn Duran, and Carlie Estangque in another operation in Barangay Habay 2 also in Bacoor around 3 a.m. Seized were eight sachets of meth worth P102,000 in the street market.
Meanwhile, in Dasmariñas City, anti-narcotics agents arrested a group of 12 alleged shabu peddlers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Salitran 4 around 5:20 p.m. on Friday.
The police report identified the suspects as Dominic Donar, Roel Sardido, Marce Sipat, Jonathan Calyusin, John Cardel Loyola, Sherwin Concepcion, Edward Dionisio, John Paul De Guzman, Fredie Arevalo, Kevin Valenzuela, Donato Orcullo and Dante Bobiar. The authorities seized a total of 13 sachets shabu weighing 20 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P136,000.
The police are conducting investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
