MANILA, Philippines — Fuel companies on Monday announced that they would roll back the price of diesel and kerosene starting Tuesday.

In separate advisories, Cleanfuel, Seaoil, Petro Gazz, Petron and Caltex all said that they would decrease the price of diesel P3 per liter.

Petron, Caltex, and Sea Oil also announced that they would cut the price of kerosene by P3.40 per liter.

The rollback in prices will be effective starting at 6. a.m. July 6 on Tuesday for Petron, Sea Oil and Petro Gazz, while Caltex will implement the decrease in prices as early as 12:01 a.m. of the same day.

Cleanfuel, on the other hand, said the rollback in fuel prices would be effective at 8:01 a.m. on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, no price movements were announced for the gasoline rates.

According to Petron, the fuel price adjustments “reflect movements in the international oil market.”

The rollback comes after weeks of consecutive fuel price hikes.
