Man arrested over P408,000 ‘shabu’ seized during buy-bust in Bacolod City

MANILA, Philippines — A man has been arrested as at least 60 grams of suspected crystal meth, locally known as “shabu”, have been seized from him during a buy-bust operation in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
In a report of the Philippine National Police (PNP) released Monday, Pranisa Anlap Ereneo, 34, was collared by combined operatives of Police Station 5 in Bacolod City, City Drug Enforcement Unit, and Bacolod City Police Office in Purok Masinadyahon Rawslawn, Barangay Bata on Saturday evening (July 2).
The report also said the estimated cost of shabu confiscated from the suspect is P408,000.
Also seized during the anti-drug operation were drug paraphernalia, one black coin purse, one black pouch, and the buy-bust money, according to the PNP report.
The suspect and all confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Police Station 5 and Bacolod City Police Office for documentation and proper disposition, it added.
“Towards a united, peaceful, and progressive society, Philippine National Police will remain relentless and aggressive in our police operations especially against high-value individuals and prominent drug personalities as we commend the efforts of our personnel who have sacrificed even their own lives just to stop the proliferation and illegal drug trade in the country,” Lt.
