CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Police seized P340,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and arrested eight drug suspects in separate police operations on Saturday in Bulacan province.
Police Colonel Charlie Cabradilla, Bulacan police chief, said Joselito and Reynaldo, both surnamed Reyes, and Rommel Travino, were arrested at a buy-bust in Barangay (village) San Gabriel in the City of Malolos where they were also residing at around 5 a.m.
The suspects yielded 50 grams of shabu placed inside 12 sachets. Report did not say how the Reyeses are related to each other.
The confiscated drugs are valued at P340,000, according to police.
In the City of San Jose Del Monte, Arwin Abergas, a resident of Barangay (village) Saog in Marilao town, yielded dried marijuana leaves wrapped in a paper and an improvised tooter after he was arrested by police for stealing assorted items from a store in Barangay Muñoz at around midnight on Saturday.
Four more drug suspects were also arrested in different drug operations from Friday night until dawn on Saturday by police in the towns of Bocaue, Hagonoy, Obando and San Jose Del Monte but their names were not stated in the report.
Seized from them were 19 sachets of suspected shabu and the money used in the busts.
The arrested suspects will be facing complaints for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
