4 suspects held, P399,000 shabu seized in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY—Anti-narcotics operatives arrested four suspected drug personalities, and seized more than P399,000 of shabu (crystal meth) in separate operations Monday in Camarines Sur and Albay provinces.

In Camarines Sur, Anthony Comprado, 23, was arrested at 11:50 p.m. in a buy-bust in Barangay Tabuco in Naga City.

Police Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City cop spokesperson, said Comprado was a big-time suspect on the illegal drugs watch list in the Bicol region.

The undercover agent bought a sachet of shabu using P500 and P17,500 buy-bust money.

During the body search, they also recovered a sachet or 55 grams of shabu worth P374,000 and a caliber .38 gun with six live bullets.

In Barangay Sta. Cruz, John Christian Morano was arrested at 10:31 p.m. Authorities confiscated a sachet of shabu worth P6,120 from him.

In Barangay Tagas in Daraga town in Albay, Owen Añonuevo, 42, was arrested at 4:51 p.m.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said they confiscated a sachet of shabu worth P500 from Añonuevo.

In Barangay San Fernando in Sto. Domingo town, Arnel Barnedo, 30, was arrested at 6:40 p.m.

Seized from Barnedo was a sachet of shabu worth P500 and a caliber .38 gun with three live bullets.
