5 nabbed, P74,000 worth of shabu seized in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY—Five suspected drug personalities were arrested in separate operations Wednesday in Camarines Sur and Sorsogon provinces.

Gregorio Llanes, 50, and Joseph Landagan, 37, were arrested in a buy-bust operation at 7:20 p.m. in Barangay Bustrac in Nabua town, Camarines Sur.

Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol cop spokesperson, said they confiscated 19 sachets or seven grams of shabu (crystal meth) worth P47,600, a digital weighing scale, and other non-drug items.

In Lagonoy town, police arrested Norlan Odiamar, 37, in a search operation at 2:45 p.m. in Barangay San Rafael.

Recovered were three grams of shabu worth P20,400.

Calubaquib said the three suspects were identified as street-level individuals.

In Irosin town in Sorsogon, Everlyn Montayre, 39, and Ronnie Galos, 38, were also arrested around 2 p.m. in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Pedro.

Calubaquib said the police recovered four sachets of shabu worth P6,800, 25 sachets with suspected shabu residue, and P3,000 buy-bust money.

The suspects will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
