Old communist rebels' lair found in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—Authorities found on Sunday an old lair of communist rebels in Botolan town in this province.

The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said troops from police and Army units recovered several high-powered firearms and war materiel from the remote area of Botolan.

Among those recovered were rifles, hand grenades, cartridge cases, and piston belts.

Police said they also found antigovernment documents, a flag of the Communist Party of the Philippines, clothes, and food and hygiene supplies.
