Rizal, Camarines Norte busts yield P800K worth of ‘shabu,’ 4 suspects nabbed
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested four suspected drug peddlers in two separate drug operations on Wednesday in Rizal and in Camarines Norte.
Also seized were P890,888 worth of crystal methamphetamine, locally known as “shabu.”
In a police report, PNP officer in charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr., said the first two suspects were arrested at 4:45 a.m. during a buy-bust operation along Gen. Luna Highway, Barangay Ampid 1 in San Mateo Rizal.
The two were identified as Lucky Saavedra, who was tagged as a “high-value” drug suspect, along with his cohort Rodsan Amparo.
Confiscated were 66 grams of suspected “shabu,” estimated to be worth P448,000.
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, another two suspects, identified as Nenette Aquino Barbara, 49, and Rumualdo Cerezo Bracino were arrested in a buy-bust operation at 1:07 a.m. in Purok 1, Barangay Tugos, Paracale Camarines Norte.

Arresting officers yielded 65 grams of suspected “shabu” weighing estimated to be worth P442,000.
“Let me again commend our PNP operatives for their unwavering efforts in helping the government eradicate the drug menace plaguing our country. Let us continue this great accomplishment as we focus on the arrest of high-value drug personalities,” said Danao in a statement.
Danao also said the four will face criminal charges for violation of RA 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
