3 alleged drug pushers yield P217K shabu in Rizal busts

LUCENA CITY –– Anti-narcotics agents arrested on Tuesday, May 24, three drug suspects and seized more than P217,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in buy-bust operations in Rodriguez town and Antipolo City in Rizal province.

The Calabarzon police reported that operatives from the Rodriguez police drug enforcement unit busted at 9:25 p.m. Lawrence Estanislao after selling P500 worth of meth to an undercover cop in Barangay Burgos.

The suspect yielded six sachets of shabu weighing 20 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of about P136,000.

Antipolo police also collared at 7:10 a.m. Renante Unarse and Albert Zamora in another drug sting in Barangay Cupang.

Authorities seized eight sachets of crystal meth weighing 12 grams with a DDB value of P81,600.

The police are conducting further investigation to determine the source of the drugs.

The suspects were detained and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
