2 drug suspects yield shabu, gun in Quezon bust

LUCENA CITY—Police arrested Wednesday two drug suspects in Candelaria town in Quezon province.

Candelaria police reported that anti-illegal drug operatives collared Michael Lina, 45, and his associate Wendell de Ramos, 48, both of the locality, in a buy-bust operation at 1:50 a.m. in the town center.

The police found the suspects possessing shabu worth P8,160 in the street market.

Lina was also carrying an undocumented and loaded caliber .22 gun.

The suspects were placed under police custody and would face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Lina will face another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
