TAGBILARAN CITY—A bridge in Barangay Alegria, Catigbian town in Bohol collapsed Thursday, June 16.
No casualties were reported, according to the local police.
An investigation showed that a dump truck carrying sand was crossing the bridge when it collapsed at past 9 a.m. on Thursday.
This was the second bridge in Bohol that collapsed in less than two months.
Last April 27, the Olegario B. Clarin Sr. Bridge, commonly called the Clarin Bridge, collapsed due to “overloading.”
Four persons died while 24 others were injured in that accident.
