MANILA, Philippines — The nominees of P3PWD (Komunidad ng Pamilya, Pasyente at Persons with Disabilities) Party-list have resigned, and former Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon is listed as the new first nominee.
Comelec acting spokesperson Rex Laudiangco said on Monday that the party-list lodged documents with the poll body’s Law Department on the same day at 1:01 p.m.
Among the documents filed are the notarized resignation letters of its nominees Grace Yeneza, Ira Paulo Pozon, Marianne Heidi Cruz Fullon, Peter Jonas David, and Lily Grace Tiangco.
P3PWD also submitted a notarized certificate of nomination — signed by its secretary-general Donnabel Tenorio — which contains the names of the new nominees:
- Ma. Rowena Amelia Guanzon – first nominee
- Rosalie Garcia – second nominee
- Cherrie Belmonte-Lim – third nominee
- Donnabel Tenorio – fourth nominee
- Rodolfo Villar Jr. – fifth nominee
Laudiangco said that the matter is “subject to the deliberation of the Commission en banc.”
P3PWD won a seat in the House of Representatives after receiving 391,174 votes in the May 9 elections.
