shabu den raid

MANILA, Philippines — More than P10 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) was seized during a raid of a suspected drug den in Lanao del Sur, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported Saturday.

Three suspects were also arrested by police during the raid in Maguing, Lanao del Sur on Thursday morning.

Arrested were Faisa Hadji, Amersab Ebra Macabato and Raifa Hadji Rasul Rakim, all said to be “high value targets.”

Seized during the raid were 1.5 kilograms of shabu worth P10,200,000, the PNP said.

The arrested suspects are now facing complaints for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PNP officer-in-charge Lt. General Vicente Danao Jr. said the suspects are members of a “notorious” drug group known as the Macabato drug group.

“We are looking at a notorious drug group here,” Danao said in a statement. “The arrest of their members can weaken their operation.”
