Cops nab man, seize P510,000 ‘shabu’ in Zamboanga Sibugay anti-drug operation
MANILA, Philippines — A suspect was arrested while P510,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine, locally known as “shabu,” was confiscated following a buy-bust operation in Zamboanga Sibugay on Wednesday, June 8.
The Philippine National Police-Public Information Office (PNP-PIO) identified the suspect as Abdulganih “Gani” Mijan Inting, 48. Authorities said he is a “high-value individual.”
He was arrested in Zamboanga,Sibugay after regional police from Tungawan and Ipil conducted a joint entrapment/drug buy-bust operation, where 75 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P510,000, were also seized from the suspect, according to the PNP-PIO.
Police said Inting will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
