PNP to secure Bongbong Marcos, Sara Duterte in their inaugurations
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday assured the Presidential Security Group (PSG) of its support in securing President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio during their respective inaugurations.
“Lagi namang handa ang PNP sa pagsisiguro na magiging ligtas ang ating president (elect) and vice president-elect,” said PNP spokesperson PBGen. Roderick Alba.
(The PNP is always ready to ensure that the president-elect and vice president-elect will be safe.)
“Definitely, may coordination na with the PSG sa magiging deployment ng ating mga personnel sa venue at mga lugar na dadaanan ng incoming president at vice president,” he added.
(Definitely, there is coordination with the PSG as for the deployment of our personnel at the venue and areas that the incoming president and vice president will pass through.)

Article continues after this advertisementUnder Section 35 of Republic Act 6975 or the “DILG Act of 1990,” the Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG) is mandated to provide support to the PSG in securing the President-elect, the Vice President-elect, as well as members of the First Family.
Marcos Jr. will have his inauguration on June 30 while Duterte eyes her inauguration on June 19.
