MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections on Thursday hailed the successful proclamation of 55 winning party-list groups, saying it went “very well.”
Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Aimee Ferolino Ferolino made the remarks after the winning party-list groups were successfully proclaimed, securing 62 seats in the lower house of the 19th Congress.
“The proclamation went very well, maayos ‘yung programa natin, maayos nating natapos ang proclamasyon ng lahat ng mga partylist winners (we had a good program, we finished the proclamation of all the partylist winners well),” said Ferolino during an ambush interview at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) topped the party-list race, garnering over five percent (2,111,091) of the total votes and securing three seats in Congress.
The initial proclamation of the said partylists was supposed to be held on May 19, but was postponed to wait for the voting results in Lanao del Sur — where special elections were held in 12 barangay after the Comelec declared a failure of elections due to violence, threats, and intimidation.
The canvassing of the votes in the said area were then concluded on May 25, Wednesday afternoon, before proceeding to the proclamation which happened at 4 p.m., Thursday.
