242 wanted persons nabbed in Bicol in 20 days
LEGAZPI CITY––Police have arrested 242 wanted criminals in the Bicol region in almost three weeks.
“The crackdown on the most wanted persons resulted from intensified surveillance and intelligence work,” Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said.
She said the police arrested 24 drug personalities from April 26 to May 15.
“Twenty-one cases were already filed in court. This also resulted in the confiscation of 539.73 grams of marijuana, 344.94 grams of shabu (crystal meth) with a total value of Php 2,307,818.56,” Calubaquib said.
Also 22 violators of loose firearms were apprehended from the 46 Oplan Katok and Kontra Boga launched by the police in the region.
