3 nabbed, P68K worth of drugs seized in Puerto Princesa City

CITY OF CALAPAN––Police arrested Tuesday three drug personalities in a joint operation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan province, the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police said Wednesday.

Colonel Roberto Bucad, Palawan police chief, said Homer Salarda, 42; Mark Anthony Olbes, 46; and Ervin Cacayan, 40, were arrested at 5:50 p.m. after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth P2,200 to a PDEA agent acting as a poseur-buyer in Barangay San Pedro.

Seized from the suspects, all residents of Puerto Princesa City, were three sachets of shabu weighing about 10 grams and valued at P68,000.

The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
