MANILA, Philippines — The latest partial and official tabulation of votes for party-list on Thursday showed that ACT-CIS, Ako Bicol, and 1-Rider were topping the race.

The second report from the Commission on Elections (Comelec), sitting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), also showed the following party-list groups in the top 15:

Based on the partial and unofficial results from the Comelec’s transparency servers, however, disclosed that while ACT-CIS still leads the contest, Tingog was in the third place with 873,231 votes while Cibac was ranked 10th and Uswag Ilonggo with 677,916 votes was included in the top 15.

Several of the party-list groups in the top 15 may be assured of at least one seat in Congress, as the party-list system’s election provides at least one seat for parties securing at least two percent of the total votes cast. A maximum of three seats per party-list group is provided under the law.

The party-list system was established with the objective of ensuring marginalized sectors in the country would have a voice and be well-represented in the House of Representatives.
