TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines —A 53-year-old vulcanizer was shot and killed by two motorcycle-riding gunmen in Enrile town in Cagayan province Saturday morning.
Master Sgt. Jaime Lallaban, Enrile police investigator, identified the fatality as Reynaldo Buenavente, 53.
Lallaban said Buenavente was sweeping garbage and fallen leaves in his yard near the road in Barangay Roma Norte when the two unknown gunmen arrived at around 5 a.m. One of the men repeatedly shot the victim with a .45-caliber handgun.
Scene-of-the-crime operatives found four empty shells and a bullet slug of the gun.
Investigation continues as of this writing.
