3 drug suspects nabbed, P27M meth seized in Rizal

LUCENA CITY––Anti-narcotics agents arrested three drug suspects and confiscated more than four kilos of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation Thursday in Angono town in Rizal province.

The Calabarzon police identified in a report the arrested suspects as Aries Apeleña, Dennis delo Santos, and Mariz Sedaya.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents and police collared the three at 3:20 a.m. after allegedly selling P3,000 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Mahabang Parang.

Authorities seized about four kilos and five grams of shabu in 12 plastic sachets.

The police report said the confiscated meth was worth P27,234,000.

The police are investigating the source of the illegal drugs.

The suspects were detained and faced charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
