Isko Moreno doubts survey: ‘Four percent? Really?’

MANILA, Philippines — Presidential candidate Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Tuesday expressed disbelief over his slide in the recent Pulse Asia voter preference survey. But he also said it was not over until it is over.

Moreno seemed skeptical that he only garnered 4 percent in the survey held from April 16-21.

“For the meantime, life must go on… It’s not over till the fat lady sings,” he said during a chance interview in Manila at an event.

“I don’t know how far is the truth, but there must be something wrong… Four percent? Talaga? (Really?) Good luck to me,” added the incumbent mayor of the country’s capital city.

Moreno’s ranking among preferred presidential bets in the Pulse Asia survey slid to fourth from the third spot while rival Senator Manny Pacquiao’s numbers rose to 7 percent, allowing him to overtake the former actor and clinch the third place.

Presidential bet Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was still the frontrunner in the survey of Pulse Asia getting 56 percent while Vice President Leni Robredo remained in the second spot at 23 percent.

Previously, Ernest Ramel, chairman of Moreno’s party Aksyon Demokratiko, said they are confident that Moreno would still pull off a surprise in the May 9 elections.
