MANILA, Philippines — Officials of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) at the Port of Clark seized 231 grams of kush or marijuana that arrived from Spain.
The BOC said the illegal shipment had an estimated value of P392,700. The cargoes were declared to contain “city comfort bufanda mujer invierno” [scarf woman winter] and arrived on different dates, the BOC said.
The first shipment from Madrid arrived on March 27, while the second shipment from Barcelona arrived on April 3.
The cargoes were addressed to consignees in Quezon City and Marikina City. The BOC said the illegal shipments were found after they were subjected to X-ray scanning upon arrival.
This led to the discovery of five pouches containing suspected marijuana. The illegal drugs were turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for proper disposition.
