PH logs 193 new COVID-19 infections; active infections now below 10k
MANILA, Philippines — An additional 193 infections of COVID-19 were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday, as shown in the COVID-19 tracker on its website.
This is the third consecutive day the department has logged infections lower than 200.
Current active COVID-19 infections, meanwhile, are now down to 9,585, from Wednesday’s 10,576.
Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed infections now sit at 3,685,222 nationwide, with 3,615,370 recoveries and 60,267 deaths.
A total of 21,651 individuals were also tested on April 27, according to DOH.
Article continues after this advertisementThe new recorded infections are again lower than the average number of cases released the previous week, April 18 to 24, at 209 per day in a total of 1,465 infections.
