“Nagtatanong kung pwedeng mag-endorse ng iba. They don’t know us, so tigilan na lang nila. Even… they’re attempting to drive a wedge between the Senate President and myself. They don’t know us. They don’t know him, they don’t know me kaya dapat wag na lang ituloy yun,” Lacson went on.

On Easter Sunday last April 17, the senator joined two other presidential candidates — Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and former Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales — in insisting they will not back out from their respective bids.

Moreno even went so far as ask survey second-placer Vice President Leni Robredo to withdraw from the race to allow other candidates a chance to beat current frontrunner, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
