DOH’s COVID-19 tracker shows 138 new cases
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health’s (DOH) COVID-19 tracker on Thursday showed that 138 more people in the country contracted the coronavirus.
This figure was so far the lowest daily case tally by the DOH this year.
Despite recording additional infections, the DOH COVID-19 tracker indicated that active cases were still going down with 16,771 on April 21. It stood at 17,863 on Wednesday, April 20.
On the other hand, the tracker showed that confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country have already reached 3,683,865, including 3,607,038 recoveries and 60,056 deaths, since 2020.
It likewise revealed that on April 20, some 21,761 samples were tested for SARS-CoV-2 which is the virus that causes serious respiratory illness COVID-19.
Article continues after this advertisementOn Monday, the DOH’s weekly report said that a total of 1,674 new COVID-19 cases were logged from April 11-17.
