AKKK Partylist to propose comprehensive recovery program for MSMEs
MANILA, Philippines — New partylist Ang Kabuhayang Kayang Kaya (AKKK) #107 wants to push for a comperehensive economic recovery program that will help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
AKKK, which aims to represent the MSMEs in the Lower House, hopes to pass a legislation that will unveil stimulus packages for the benefit of the pandemic-hit MSMEs.
“Kasama na doon ang tax relief at puhunan para sa maliliit na negosyo,” said Mufaida “Muffy” Alonto-Macatoman, AKKK Partylist’s first nominee.
Macatoman cited that MSMEs compose 99.6 percent of all registered businesses and majority of them were hit hard when the pandemic broek out.
She vowed to provide MSME’s easier access to government programs and spur the economy.
“Gusto nating magtayo ng kabuhayan centers in the rural areas, where most of them have a hard time accessing opportunities and business programs,” said Macatoman.
“We want to make it easier na matanggal ang red tape when it comes to registration at maraming makarehistro at makaavail ng programs of the government.”
The AKKK Partylist also want to provide training to enhance the business acumen of aspiring entrepreneurs.
“Of course, we want to provide technical training but along with it are financial and business skills din,” she siad.
“Madaming kasing merong kaalamang teknikal pero sa pagnenegosyo, doon sila nawawala at naglalaho ang kanilang kapital dahil hindi alam kung paanong imanage ang negosyo.”
