4 arrested, P4.25 M shabu seized in Taguig City operation

MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested four high-value drug suspects and seized an estimated P4.25 million worth of shabu in an operation in Taguig City, the Philippine National Police – National Capital Region Police Office (PNP – NCRPO) reported Thursday.

The Southern Police District – Drug Enforcement Unit on Wednesday evening conducted an operation in Barangay Ligid-Tipas in Taguig that resulted in the arrest of Amerigo Baldos, Benedicto Barcelona, Johncin Ochea, and Francis Barcelona.

The suspects will face a formal complaint for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 Article II Sections 5 and 11.

The NCRPO said that the recovered items were transported to the Crime Laboratory Office for analysis.

NCRPO Regional Director Major General Felipe Natividad lauded the police and said that “offenders do not observe any season in their transactions.”
