Alleged gun-for-hire nabbed in Batangas

About P340-million worth of "shabu" has been seized from three drug suspects in an entrapment operation in Quezon City on Wednesday.LUCENA CITY––Police arrested Friday an alleged gun-for-hire and seized illegal firearms, an explosive, and bullets in Balayan, Batangas.

Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra, Police Regional Office 4-A director, identified the suspect as Lorenzo Holgado, 55.

Police armed with a search warrant swooped down at 2:10 a.m. on the suspect’s house in Barangay Santol.

The raiders found two .45-caliber pistols, one MK2 fragmentation hand grenade, a .9MM-caliber pistol loaded with two bullets, seven magazines, and 61 bullets, all undocumented, inside the suspect’s house.

Holgado will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act for illegal guns and explosives possession.
