LUCENA CITY––Anti-narcotics agents arrested Thursday and Friday three drug suspects in this city and seized more than P532,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in two buy-bust operations, the police said.
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Quezon police collared Ronaldo Rodriguez after allegedly selling at 6:15 a.m. on Friday a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Isabang, Lt. Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, Lucena police chief, reported.
Authorities found the suspect with five sachets of meth weighing 19.75 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P134,028 and a street value of P402,084.
Authorities also seized a motorcycle without a plate number believed to have been used by the suspect in his illegal drug trade.
The police also busted on Thursday two alleged notorious drug pushers who were on their watch list.
Reyes said Rommel Jardin, 48, and Cynthia Sarguilla, 36, allegedly sold at 10:31 p.m. Thursday P500 worth of shabu to a police agent in Barangay Cotta.
Confiscated from the suspects were six plastic sachets of shabu for distribution to drug users with a street value of P130,154.
The two were on the drug watch list as street-level peddlers of illegal drugs.
The suspects were detained and faced charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
