MANILA, Philippines — A street sweeper was injured when a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank exploded and triggered a fire in a restaurant in Quezon City early Monday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported.
The blaze was reported on the ground floor of a restaurant along Visayas Avenue, Barangay Vasra.
The victim sustained first-degree burns on her face.
According to the BFP, the fire was raised to the first alarm at 4:32 a.m. It was placed under control by 4:56 a.m. and was declared extinguished by 5:14 a.m.
Seventeen fire trucks and three ambulances responded to scene
The BFP said damage to property is still being determined.
