LUCENA CITY––Members of police anti-illegal drugs units arrested six suspected pushers and seized more than P1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm in three operations Wednesday and Thursday in Rizal province.

In Taytay town, an anti-narcotics unit collared Mark Paul Gerico Regaspi after he allegedly sold at 1:15 p.m. a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay San Juan, the Calabarzon police said in its daily report.

Authorities reportedly found the suspect carrying 135 grams of shabu in six sachets with a street value of P918,000.

In San Mateo town, police arrested around 5:30 p.m. Christopher Francisco, Jonjon Payongayong, Jomby Aranella, and Sandra Monares in a drug buy-bust in Barangay Maly.

The suspects yielded nine sachets of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P42,840 and drug-sniffing paraphernalia.

Police also found that one of the suspects, not identified in the report, had a caliber .38 revolver loaded with two bullets.

In Cainta town, cops nabbed Carla Villareal in another sting operation at 1:35 a.m. Thursday in Barangay San Juan. Police seized nine sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P68,000.

The suspects were detained and will face formal complaints in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Another suspect will be charged with illegal possession of a firearm and violations of the election gun ban.
