MANILA, Philippines — Ten local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila have registered less than 10 new COVID-19 cases, independent analytics group Octa Research said Saturday.
Octa Research fellow Dr. Guido David posted on Twitter that 128 fresh COVID-19 infections were logged in the National Capital Region on March 18.

Of the 17 LGUs in Metro Manila, the following recorded less than 10 new cases:
Pasig – 8 new cases
Taguig – 8 new cases
Muntinlupa – 4 new cases
Valenzuela – 4 new cases
Las Piñas – 3 new cases
Malabon – 3 new cases
Marikina – 2 new cases
San Juan – 2 new cases
Mandaluyong – 1 new case
Pateros – 1 new case
Meanwhile, the following LGUs recorded 10 fresh cases or above:
Parañaque – 10 new cases
Pasay – 11 new cases
Makati – 11 new cases
Caloocan – 11 new cases
Quezon City – 20 new cases
Manila – 28 new cases

Navotas was the only LGU in the capital region that logged no new COVID-19 case.
Earlier, Octa Research said that Metro Manila is at low risk for COVID-19 transmission.

As of March 18, the country has a total of 3,673,201 COVID-19 cases. Of the figure, 45,491 are active infections.
